It’s time for the next instalment of the NBA 2K14 Retro Series! This time we’re flashing back to the 2005 season, with a showdown between a young Chicago Bulls team, and the 7 Seconds Or Less Phoenix Suns. I’m not sure which showdown and era will be featured next, but the NBA 2K14 Retro Series is a lot of fun to produce, so there’ll be more to come! Until then, please subscribe to the NLSC YouTube channel for more basketball gaming content, and feel free to hit us up with any suggestions of games that you’d like to see us play. ![]() ![]() Nevertheless, The Doctor is in vintage form, Sidney Moncrief is at the top of his game for the Bucks, and the game produced some great 80s NBA action. You won’t find Sir Charles on the team in the game of course, and since the PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K14 doesn’t support modding (or even Create-a-Player), he’s conspicuously absent in this re-creation. J’s NBA’s Greatest challenge, but because in real life, they featured a rookie Charles Barkley. The 1985 76ers are one of NBA 2K’s oddball classic teams not because they aren’t a good squad to include and a sensible one for Dr. However, I’ll actually have to play some more of those games as I’m now at the end of the footage that I captured prior to my old desktop crashing late last year! I’m presenting a fun showdown in the meantime though, as Julius Erving and the 1985 Philadelphia 76ers clash with Sidney Moncrief and the 1985 Milwaukee Bucks. I’ve enjoyed making the NBA 2K14 Retro Series a more regular feature on our YouTube channel so far this year. Also be sure to submit your best plays to Dee to be featured in the weekly Top 10 countdown! Indeed, he dished out more assists than Magic in Game 4, and his final line of 29 points and 12 assists is very close to the actual box score. Obviously, these highlights would still work as a re-imagining of a non-specific clash from that Finals series, but I decided to make it Game 4 as it lines up with MJ doing it all at the offensive end in that game, from pouring in buckets to racking up assists. Why Game 4 of the 1991 NBA Finals in particular? Well, I originally intended it to be the title-clinching Game 5, but I neglected to make some necessary adjustments to the Lakers’ lineup to accurately portray that contest. ![]() If not, you’re in for a radical treat, as it’s a re-creation of Game 4 of the 1991 NBA Finals between Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles Lakers! The poster dunks in NBA 2K14 also remain extremely satisfying, with the Eco-Motion engine producing some beautiful animations. My journey through Year 6 of M圜AREER in the PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K14 continues, and I have the highlights to prove it! At Dee’s suggestion, I’ve been compiling a highlight reel every ten games to post on our YouTube channel, and now that I’m halfway through the season, there’s already been an assortment of spectacular moments.Īlley-oops are a recurring motif in the highlight reel for Games 31-40, as Philadelphia has been turned into The City of Brotherly Lobs! Although I’m enjoying putting the ball on a wire for Terry Hanson and Nerlens Noel to rack up those glorious assists, I’ve also loved being on the receiving end of lobs, including some ambitious inbounds alley-oops.
